What? AHH!!..... I call for one of those bad court thingies!
— The Simpsons ‧ 1989
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Caught off guard and shrieking, the speaker scrambles to invoke some legal remedy but cannot name it, settling for the vague phrase 'bad court thingies'. The comedy lies in the panic and the muddled vocabulary, a plea for help delivered with almost no precision.
