Arrivederci!
— JoJo's Bizarre Adventure · 2012
Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The courteous farewell is a cold punctuation mark after a brutal reversal. Bucciarati’s calm delivery makes the finish unmistakably his.

After defeating Prosciutto and Pesci’s attack on the train, Bucciarati delivers his farewell as Sticky Fingers finishes the fight with Pesci. Chapter 499 becomes Golden Wind episode 16. “Arrivederci” is the Italian goodbye spoken in the original, often quoted together with Sticky Fingers’ preceding “ARI” barrage.
