Our interpretation.
The opening turns missing someone into an insult by adding 'with every opportunity.' A quick claim to be kidding and a dismissive 'Bygones' do little to soften the final command to leave. The humour comes from the rapid sequence of barbs and flimsy attempts to wave them away.
