The Devil

I have always advocated family values, all the way back to Cain and Abel.

Behind the line

What it means

Our interpretation.

The Devil claims to have championed family values since the earliest days, pointing to Cain and Abel as proof. The irony is that the example cited is the story of one brother killing another, so a wholesome slogan becomes a sly, self-satisfied joke.
