We’re not gonna die. We can’t die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker offers wildly cheerful reassurance to Bendis: death is impossible because they are too good-looking. Vanity is recast as a survival strategy, with divine favour supposedly reserved for the attractive. The bravado is absurd and comic, a bold claim made when survival seems to be in doubt.
