Can we maybe vote on the whole “murdering people” issue?

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
A deadpan bit of understatement: murder is treated like a routine agenda item that a group might settle with a show of hands. The humour comes from the polite, committee-style phrasing, 'the whole issue', applied to something that plainly shouldn't be up for debate.
