Good luck, Ralphie. If your nose starts bleeding, it means you're picking it too much. Or not enough.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker wishes someone luck, then offers a nosebleed theory that cannot lose: bleeding means too much nose-picking, or else too little. Whatever happens, the explanation covers it. The joke lies in the deadpan, unhelpful advice dressed up as reassurance.
