It is Ash at his smoothest and his worst: a man from the 20th century treating a medieval woman like the love interest in a bad action movie, with a pickup line that is half charm, half swagger. It sits beside "Groovy" and "Hail to the king, baby" in the quote lists, and fans take his boorishness as part of the fun.

Army of Darkness (1992). Ash, stranded in the year 1300, is about to set out for the Necronomicon in the hope of getting home. Before he leaves, Sheila, the sister of a fallen knight, comes to his room to say that her hopes and prayers go with him and offers a blanket she has made. Ash brushes it off as a horse blanket, Sheila slaps him, and he follows her to the door, grabs her and kisses her with this line. He has already shown that he is more at home with chainsaws than with courtly manners.
