It’s good to meet you, Dr. Banner. Your work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled. And I’m a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster.

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
The speaker begins by praising scientific work, then adds enthusiasm for an enormous angry transformation. The abrupt change in subject supplies the joke. An apparently formal introduction becomes an irreverent declaration of fandom, placing scholarly accomplishment and spectacular loss of control side by side.
