Okay, folks, show's over. Nothing to see here, show's... Oh my God! A horrible plane crash! Hey, everybody, get a load of this flaming wreckage! Come on, crowd around, crowd around! Don't be shy, crowd around!

Behind the line
What it means
Our interpretation.
Wiggum tells the crowd nothing's happening, then spots a flaming plane wreck and invites everyone closer. The joke is his cheerful, showman-like tone about a disaster. He goes from dismissing onlookers to recruiting an audience.
